So I believe today Sept 15th is the 2013deadline for chemical fertiliser application.

These dates always seem to be in a state of flux so could I get some confirmation please on the 2013 deadline dates for the application of:
    a) slurry
    b) organic manure (dung!)

    cheers:)

Will the slury deadline be extended this year does any one think?

I dobt it, have you too much grass?

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

I have that problem anyway. I spread 40 units in some fields on my last round at the start of sept and there is some mighty grass in them fields now. the thing is that my pit is 3/4 full and I will need to spread nearly all over the farm in order to empty it and that will mean spreading in heavy covers and sending cows in rather than keeping them out and saving the silage.

Spreading 3 or 4 loads at a time here as cows finish off a paddock. Plan is that paddocks grazed now will be first grazed next Feb.
