Is there water in the oil, oil in the coolant, does the car drive rough or badly or not at all?

Check the oil filler cap for a yellowish creamy substance on the bottom of it.

That job will cost you a few hundred euro to do right.

I saw this earlier today on donedeal.

Not sure if it helps you but maybe someone on here can recommend someone to fit it.

It's going to cost more than a few hundred to do a headgasket properly.

when i had punto, i did myself, easy enough to do it. head has to be skimmed and pressure tested prepare head for fitting would be around 100 quid. headgasket with timing belt around 40 . if youd be around my area, i could give you a hand. From FIAT professional technicians - just dgt ... as far as i know. ;)

Easiest head gasket there is to do. Replace the crappy rocker gasket too. And when it's done, bleed the coolant system correctly. Almost no-one does as most don't know how and so the head gasket blows again shortly after and everyone says Punto's all blow their gaskets.. google how to bleed the system. Was your coolant changed or was there a coolant leak recently ish?

Is it possible to put it wrong way? Heard of a stories where Punto's head gasket was installed upside-down, and as a result oil could not circulate. What happens next is easy to guess...
