What to upgrade?

I've been thinking of adding another 4Gb of ram to my PC and replacing my ancient 250GB HDD with a new 3TB. But I may as well look at overhauling the whole thing while I'm in there! I'm totally out of the loop on what's in vogue hardware wise these days, so I'm looking for some advice on how to upgrade. Current setup…

I've been thinking of adding another 4Gb of ram to my PC and replacing my ancient 250GB HDD with a new 3TB. But I may as well look at overhauling the whole thing while I'm in there! I'm totally out of the loop on what's in vogue hardware wise these days, so I'm looking for some advice on how to upgrade.

Current setup below:

Motherboard:
Gigabyte Socket-1156 GA-P55A-UD3
CPU:
i5-750 Processor (8M Cache, 2.66 GHz)
Ram:
4GB G.Skill ECO Series PC3-12800 CL7 1600MHz
GPU:
HD7950
Monitor:
27" Dell U2711

Windows 7 64bit
120Gb Samsung SSD
250GB SATA HDD
500GB SATA HDD

Budget is around €300.

As an aside, how much would the mobo and cpu above be worth these days?

That's still a pretty solid build as it is, I would say.

Definitely check out farna boy's recent post about 3TB drives & prices here - http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=86519643&postcount=1111
(3TB drive for €100 delivered!)

Another 4GB of RAM would be another nice upgrade, but it seems that particular type of RAM is kinda out of circulation atm, and prices are a bit inflated (€60+ on Amazon).
A better option would be to pick up a new 8GB set (2x4GB) from MemoryC.com for approx €70,
and maybe sell the 4GB you have to off-set the cost.

The motherboard dates from approx 2010 (rev 2.0?) and supports SATA III and USB 3.0,
so it's still very capable today.

I was looking at RAM prices alright, best I could find on those was €50 on ebay from Germany. The sticks are 1.35V and its hard to match them to anything at the same voltage let alone latency.

Which of those 3TB drives would be better?
I think they're both 5700rpm.

Yeah, that looks better, with the discount code (NEWPIXIE) it should be reduced to about €105 with free delivery as well.
