Confused about ACCA distance learning

    Hi all,
Hoping someone on here can help me out a little.

I'm really interested in the ACCA distance learning course. So, I know there are 14 exams I need to take F1-F3, F4-F9, P1-P3 and two from P4-P7.

I just am unsure how it all works. If I apply to start studying now and start exams in December or online, how long should I spend studying for each exam?
How long should it take for me to study and complete F1-F3?
Also, what books do I need?
When I apply will I be told what I need to buy or study?
Would I be better to study through a college such as Griffith college or does that make much difference?

Sorry for so many questions but I'd really like to know before I apply,
    Thanks in advance.
