    stop running?

Or maybe change the time of your run from evening to morning or vice versa and see if that helps.

Do you eat anything after your run and if so, what do you eat?

I'd have a normal dinner like pasta and chicken or meat potatoes etc, orange then a juice or fruit and veg. I try get this in 90 minutes before bed. I try to be finished running by 8 and in bed by 10. I have the same problem mostly after hard running. I wouldn't go near caffeine or sugar after mid day other then apricot.

Just experiment and see. Run easy if that don't work then try run earlier etc etc adjust one thing at a time.

How sore are your legs after really long hard runs? If your new to running then you are probably more sore than most others as your muscles are not used to the session. I find after a really hard race that I might wake once or twice during the night because my legs are so sore and stiff...

If thats the case, just go easy on some of the long runs and eventually the pain will not be as great as your body gets used to running the distance over a number of weeks.

Its like lifting weights, the first fews weeks and you will be crippled after lifting but eventually the muscle soreness goes away
