if its a new system bring it back, to shop you got it
The image on hard drive could be bad.

I being using windows 8 since launch date no errors

My first step for troubleshooting BSOD on laptops is always jump over to the OEM website (toshiba), go to your drivers page and make sure you have all of the latest drivers for your unit. If a new BIOS is available, or UEFI firmware version make sure to install that as well.

Likewise I am using Windows 8 since beta stages with no issues.

The dpc watchdog violation relates to driver/firmware issues. I would also advise to take the laptops back to where you purchased them as they will still be in warranty.

thanks guys, just to update you....pc still keeps crashing

well...i rang the knowhow team in pcworld 3 times today.

the first thing they suggested was forcing the pc into repair mode (pressing the on/off button 4 times) and the selecting repair (to a time in the past where the pc worked before crashing)...
sure the pc crashed twice, so rang them again...got into repair mode again and then re-installed windows 8
sure the pc kept crashing, so now i've to drop the pc off to pcworld tomorrow so the guys up there can have a look.

the mentioned software misbehaving on toshiba's with windows 8 and told me that this 'dpc watchdog violation' message is usually associated with self built pc's and not off the shelf laptops.

You are best off dropping it into them.

I can see where they are coming from in relation to self built PC's. The error relates to driver/firmware issues and would be common if you have multiple driver disks to update and install for various components.

    Best of luck with it
