    Hi Guys,

I had a previous thread couple of months ago but never got around to purchasing or building. I am in the states but always value the solid advice and builds you make for others. I have been lurking ever since checking some out but thought I would pick your brain on the below:

    Newegg has some good deals going where I can get 2 660ti's 3gb for $460 ( 400 after 30rebate on each) or 2 SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7950 3GB for $440 ( 400 after rebates)

    http://promotions.newegg.com/NEemail/Sep-0-2013/SummersEndBlowout12/index-landing.html?nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL091213&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL091213-_-EMC-091213-Index-_-E0-_-Item&

Or would I be better off getting a higher card now and picking up another later when they drop to 200ish mark?

This is my first build so just looking for advice on what to go with these cards and an i53570k/i54670k? If u could pick them on Hardwareversand I can find the parts over here. Thanks a million.

    Appreciate your time!

Okay thanks, so a single Gtx770 is enough for a 27inch 1440p monitor? Or a similar 400ish card.

Lots of videos on Youtube of people running 27" 1440p no bother on a 770.

Definitely go or the dual 7950's for 1440p. They will **** all over a 770 gtx and will have enough power for the foreseeable future.

    770's are not good value.

Thanks Bloodbath! I was thinking I would need more than 2gb for 1440p alright. Now just to sort out the rest.

Reckon the below deals are sound buys?

    G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) $69.99

    COMBO
$244 for COOLER MASTER HAF 932 Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case and 850W Coolermaster PSU
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1425301

Is that case worth the money or is it overpriced?

    TOTAL SO FAR 747.95
    Thanks
    Appreciate the advice!

Which 7950 brand/model are you going for?

I'm not a big fan of the case but it is good quality and has good cooling. As long as you like it that's all that counts. The price seems reasonable for the 2 of them.

I would want a more power efficient psu for running a crossfired 7950 system though. Ideally gold rated or better.

I'd be worried about the noise levels of 2 cards as well. The Nanoxia DS1 is on Newegg as well. For the same money you could get this combo.

    Nanoxia DS1

    Windowed version

    Corsair 750w hx

You can get the 850w psu for $25 more although I'd say 750 is plenty. 850w might run a bit more efficient. I'd add a couple of extra 140mm case fans as well.
