I was driving about 70km in a 60km zone this morning. I noticed an unmarked Mondeo out checking speed. I was heading eastwards but the car was on the westbound side of the road. Does this mean I was caught or not?

I'd say you're fine. They'd most likely have stopped you.

    Highly unlikely.

Friend was once pulled over by an unmarked car for speeding, so I'd say you're safe.

Yes, you were caught and you should hand your car into the nearest Garda Station with a bag of donuts and a letter pleading clemency due to diminished responsibility. I mean 70 in a 60 - are you insane? Did you not think about the damage you might be doing to the environment, your own car and the amount of adrenaline in your system? Good god man.

No, you are fine - mind how you go.

Pick whichever answer you prefer [\thread]

Getting tired of these was I caught, camera flashed at me etc. threads. You'll know you were caught if you get a letter in the post. We weren't in the unmarked car to tell you whether we caught you or not!!

They rotate the unmarked cars around the country, the red Mondeo was around cork a few weeks back, I know i've seen a bluey purpley Subaru and a silver BMW a while back ...
Good idea , keeps people on their toes :) (I'd be bulling if I was caught though)
