I did it last year on a few and had no bother from lice anyhow . If there are alot of them in a shed it mightnt be any harm to let them keep cooler either from a pneumonia or cold point of view , byt thats just a thought I have so mightnt be true either

We clipped last year for the first time too. Put a handful of hydrated lime on their backs about every 6 weeks. Found it good and will definitely be doing it again this year!

Reilig, did you also use a pour on or any other product for lice?

I think most of these newer products are not as good as before.

The days of the Tixol and just once in the winter, job done.

I must be getting old :(

Nothing but the lime. Used pour on for years. The lime is just as effective in my small experience

Would it be ok to shave cattle that have been in the shed for 2 months as in would they get cold or a chill or should you only do them at housing time.
