    Hello,

I reckon I'm eligible for the Home Carer Tax Credit as the missus has no income and I fulfill the other criteria. However, when I go into PAYE online it's greyed out and says ineligible.

Can this credit not be claimed online or is there another reason I may be ineligible?

    Cheers,
    Chuck.

You have to tell the system in the admin tab (sorry can't think of the tab name) that you have qualifying children and how many. Once you do that you will be able to claim it.

I've checked my profile and the dependent children are there already

You should ring your nearest local tax office and ask can they do the needful for you. Most offices are very helpful in these matters.
