So, some little Cnut robbed the boot lip spoiler off my car. Couldn't believe it when I saw it.

After looking into getting a replacement and talking to a few people, it turns out this lip spoiler is in popular demand and is quite expensive.

Anyway I have being left with adhesive that looks like tar all over the top of my rear windscreen.

Had a quick go at this with a scraper and was wasting my time tbh. Can anyone recommend what I could use here?

PS: if anyone is offered a carbon black AC Schnitzer boot lip spoiler off an E60 Beemer can you mail me. Thanks

Try Auto Glym tar and glue remover I've used for similar applications and the stuff walked off.

Sorry to hear about the loss. There is such scum out there.

you might try WD-40, it works great for removing tarmac splashed on a car and wont damage the paint

Petrol should do the job as well

Nail-polish remover. It's acetone, and kills glue stone dead in minutes.

Any chance it would damage the paint as well?

It might kill wax if present, but it will evaporate before it gets around to attacking the paint. Just don't leave it hang about on there.

As suggested, I find WD40 good for that stuff.
Spray liberally, wait 10 mins and gently wipe off.

Tks for all the tips. Will try WD40 as have loads of that at home, would never have thought of it as an adhesive remover.

Now, how do I catch the bollix's who robbed it??!
