Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Did anyone see this? It's a TV show done in the style of a documentary or found tapes thing (not blair witch style). Basically the entirety of the UK loses electricity for a week, there's a cyber attack that does major damage to the nations infrastructure and the show is the videos taken by the people surviving the blackout with a few fun factoids thrown in along the way.

It's well done, at times the people filming themselves is a bit forced and nonsensical but that's always a problem with these shows.

There is a survivalist in it. He's pretty proud of himself at the start and he's story would be a warning to us all.

Yep don't have kids that blab to strangers about having a generator and don't have a barbeque wafting the scent of cooked meat when there is all sorts of stuff kicking off nearby. :)

Another bit of advice would be not to try and have a pleading chat with hostiles, especially if they are unaware for some seconds that you have entered the same room as them. Cap the feckers and keep yourself alive. ;)

I didn't believe that character. Any survivalist knows basics about urban survival in a apocalyptic situation. He didn't board up the doors and windows, batton down the hatches as it were. He took absolutely no precautions against the human and urban element of survival.

I could see plenty of idiots thinking that they've bought all the right products so that means they're going to be safe. They're simply consumers.

I knew as soon as I saw him with all his gear lined up that he'd be the most screwed the most. He wasn't a very deep character, none of them were really but overall I think the mob reacted as expected and some of the facts thrown out were interesting.
