    Hi all,

I have looked on other threads and a similar questions was asked but I don't think there was a final answer so please forgive me if I'm repeating ;)

I have a Firebird (90 I think) boiler. Used it for about an hour earlier in the week, worked fine. Last night it didn't come on when I switched it on at the timer and when I went out to look there is no light at the red "reset" light on the boiler.

    Any ideas please?

Try screwing off the little black cap on the boiler thermostat and you should see a little white pin sticking out. Press this and see if it works

Somewhere beside your boiler you should have a double plug, where the boiler and pump is plugged in. Find which one runs the pump and unplug the other. Try pump in both sockets to see is it working. if so ok. the socket is powered up. Check fuse in plug for the boiler.
When you turn on at thermostat did you time it or put it constant. If you timed it the time could be wrong.

+1 on the high limit stat , if it is you need to find out why , could be an airlock , lack if water of seized pump , if your not comfortable with boilers/heating you should think about getting a plumber or oftec engineer
