12/9/08 Daniel James' parents took him to die at Dignitas. I wrote this about their courage & love. RT if you like

He circulated this because today is the lad's anniversary.

    Here is the article.......

It took courage for the parents of Daniel James to say goodbye

Moore too often comes across as a very angry man, both on TV and Twitter..

But having said that he's probably one of the fairest and most informed writers on Rugby in the UK, not to mention a good writer and by all accounts a good guy.

When compared to some of the drivel written by the UK Rugby sports hacks he's head and shoulders above most.

Moore > Stephen Jones is all I'll say.

Most people who watch rugby > Stephen Jones.

    Fixed that.

I like Moore. He got a bad rep for not exactly being objective when watching England play but that's fair enough, commentary ain't his thing

He's not too diplomatic, but he's very evenhanded on twitter I find

Well I like Brian Moore, with the exception of Ireland England games, then he becomes annoying. However the rest of the time I think he's good.

I really enjoy his twitter feed - I don't always agree with him, but he does write very well and not just on rugby, as the article shows. I think he's genuine, and not just controversial for the sake of being controversial, which a lot of pundits tend to be (no need to list any :) )

I think he's a fantastic commentator, though I accept I'm in the minority on that one. Very insightful and as far as I'm concerned very fair. I've never understood people who think he is biased towards England - he spends half his time getting angry at their stupidity.

He is an excellent columnist though, I really enjoy his articles.

Ya but that in itself is hardly very objective

I agree with you actually, really enjoy him.

But for the bolded part, he spends the other half of his time talking about the good stuff. And the problem at times is that he forgets there is another team on the pitch (some of whose fans pay their license fees!)

But I really enjoy him. He'd definitely win in a fight against George Hook.

Oh I don't think he is objective in the slightest.

I guess when I hear people claiming a commentator is biased I take that to mean they believe the sun shines out of one team's collective arse. e.g. Jim Neilly.

Ah now to be fair Gusher Neilly can be very hard on Ulster when he wants to be. He doesn't hide the fact he wants Ulster to win but for example he wasn't slow in letting it be known that Paddy Jackson's kicking was "totally unacceptable" the other night (and of course he was right). He can actually be annoying sometimes such is his occasional negativity.

Brian Moore is a....qualified manicurist!! According to his tweets yesterday...random handcare tweets!

I think he's mellowed a lot in this incarnation on twitter, he disappeared for a long time after a few online spats but he's almost reasonable these days. Good for wine tips too...another thing I never thought I'd associate with that bulldog!

His autobiography won the William Hill sportsbook of the year 2010, so the guy can certainly write.

Anyone who heard his emotional interview with Pat Kenny (about the sexual abuse he suffered as a child) will know he continues to struggle with a fair few demons to this day. As an aside, I'll never forget his commentary on seeing BOD put in an eye-catching performance for the Baa-Baa's v the Bok's in Cardiff way back in 2000 - "this kid's gonna be a big, big star".

a good columnist and a good co-commentator, he is honest, passionate and clearly loves the game, whilst I don't always agree with him I respect his views, for those qualities and what he achieved as a player

I think Moore is brilliant. His commentary is always worth a laugh and his writing is sterling.

I'm reading his book at the moment... really enjoying it. Like his writing style and honesty. He sure does have a fair few demons. His "Gollum" aspect and the way he writes about it is very interesting...

What Brian Moore is, is a very very intelligent man. Not too much emotional intelligence, but he knows his apples. His writing is so much more than his commentary because he is easily frustrated, but on the whole he knows what he's on about and I like him.
