Tv and 5.1 speaker system compatible?

    Sorry in advance not sure where to put this and posting from my phone,am thinkin of buying the Logitech z506,could anybody tell me if the logitech z506 and a LG lm620s tv would be compatible,as in connections and would my freesat box that is connected through hdmi play through it then

    Very few TV's allow the passthrough of Dolby surround sound as the hardware they use does not include a licence from Dolby to do so. Therefore, you will need to connect the Freesat box directly to the Logitch by optical cable. Connecting the TV to the Logitech will give stereo or maybe some sort of hyped "virtual Dolby surround" (which means NOT DOLBY)

    I have a hard drive also connected through a usb and watch alot of films from that,could u recommend any system in the same price range or a bit higher that would play all connected devices to the tv,thanks,would want a 5.1 set up

    You are best to get two seperate devices, a media player or PC to which you plug your USB drive and a surround system like the Logitech you suggested. I've seen many people conned into buying home cinema systems, only to realise they are DVD players with speakers and have no surround input. There are plenty of suggestions on media players in the HTPC forum
