In before all the questions about the C130 low level flying out in the Irish Sea
The Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport has been advised that Air Contractors Ireland Ltd. will carry out Aerial Dispersant Training to provide the capability to spray oil dispersant in the event of an oil slick at sea. The training exercise entails spraying of water from a Hercules aircraft flying at 100 ft. above sea level over the Irish Sea. The training exercise will take place approximately 25 miles south-east of Dublin

The training exercise will take place on Sunday 15th September 2013 between 1600h-1800h (local time) approximately. Timings may be altered due to the participation of the aircraft at the Flightfest Airshow in Dublin.

Vessels in the area are asked to stay clear of the zone outlined in the table above and to be aware that the Hercules Aircraft will fly at a very low altitude of 100ft above sea level.
