I believe it's the week of the 7th, but I can't find where I read that either.

EDIT: It's the 14th, I just called them.

Really !!! It was 6th last year, they must have changed the date due to extended week last april due to cold weather.

I had a feeling this would happen. It is so unfair, it appeared like a nice thing the government did due to the weather, noone got a choice. I can imagine many budget around their allowance/s so toove it around like this is unfair.

Yeah, The minister proudly announced on RTE news last april that there will be extended week of fuel allowance but never said about the delaying a week in this october. I guess most people who get the fuel allowance will never know the change in October.

Or it could be that the experience last year made the Dept feel that it would be best to have it finish later every year and they therefore changed the start date of the 26 week run.

I wonder if the dept will announce the delaying the fuel allowance to one week (6th October to 13th October) on RTE news like they did last April when they announced the exstension of a week on fuel allowance due to cold weather. I doubt it. :D
