Turned it on the other evening and it is frozen on RTE+1, with just the info bar visible, no picture. I have tried everything, restarting, unplugging and switching cables around, even tried another box where this one is and that works fine.

I have downloaded the latest firmware to try and factory reset it, but there's nothing I can do to access the USB menu. Can I Factory Reset without being able to access menus?

Can anyone give me any hints on what to do? I can send back to the manufacturers, but I bought it direct from Germany, so if there isn't anything that can be done to recover it then I'm better off buying a new TV box.

there is a recovery tool that can be used to upload firmware via the rs232 socket, it will require a null modem cable and I am going from memory here. I have the mini 2 in 1. here is a link to the recovery tool.

I dont use the official software. extract all the files and you may notice 2 .exe files

NB I have just remembered when you reset that box it will default to hdmi/component output, ie nothing via scart so if you are using scart, switch to hdmi and you may have menus back.
