    Got a txt 2 my phone earlier from completegp with my 4 month old sons name telling me contact my gp on 01234567. This is not my gp or his number. Tried ringin back but it dont even ring.googled it and whocallsme says its a debt collection agency??.how the hell would they have my sons name?? This happen 2 anyone else?

    Have you contacted them on their regular number. Given the number used it looks like a test of some sort.

    Completegp.ie is a medical software provider. Chances are your GP is using software provided by them for scheduling and patient notifications.

    from the looks of it, its not configured correctly and should have your GPs name and contact number (01234567 is obviously not a contact number, looks like a placeholder). or maybe its the hospital where the post natal care is to be given, etiher way it looks like a misconfiguration.

    Doctors, iirc, create check up appointments in the name of the patient and not the parent , in this case your newborn.

    contact your GP and , if its not him, contact the clinic/hostpital where post natal care is scheduled to be given. Ask them if there is an appointment coming up and if they use software to notify their patients automatically. If they say yes, then inform them that their software looks like it needs to be configured and give them the details of the text message you received.

    Thanks for that. Kinda panicked when i saw my sons name on it
