So as the title says, I was just wondering if you get enough points in the Leaving Cert for a particular course, can you use those points to apply to the CAO a year later after doing a PLC course, if for instance you dropped out of it or didn't get the sufficient amount of distinctions. And if you do get the right amount of distinctions, could you then choose between which way to apply or would you have to apply as a FETAC student? Thanks :)

yes, and you can still do it if you complete the course. i was offered my number 6 through my FETAC points in Round Zero, but was then offered my number 1 through my LC points.

when you apply for CAO you just need to provide your previous CAO and LC Exam number, and if you complete you PLC it will be automatically put on your CAO form because they link it from your PPSN
