Intraday Trading (US Stocks)

    Hi,

I am just trying to see if many people in Ireland are actively trading US stocks on an intraday basis?

I work 0800 to 1600. So i miss the opening (volatile session) of the US market at 2.30 Irish time. Sometimes I take half days, but its every once in a while. Its very frustrating being in work knowing the market is there and I can't get to it.

I feel I have a good strategy in place. I have an active CFD account open.

I am really toying with the idea of quitting my job and trading full time.

So does anyone else trade intraday US stocks, do you trade in the morning or evening session and had anyone taken the plunge to do it on a full time basis?

    Thanks,

    Modulus

Maybe you should revisit your strategy ,the one your trading seems not to suite you/your circumstances.Your strategy should be designed to suite the amount of time you can dedicate to it.
You need to change jobs or the T/F your trading,or take a look at Asia,or get an iphone:D.

take a late lunch 2.30 - 3.30 , you'll have the volatile opening and then when you finish. Then see.

another option is to use a robot to trade for you while you're at work (automated trading) :D

While this might be a good idea, I will not suggest this to a engineer or even some who's been trading for quite a while.

Automated trading are prone to errors an in this case your money is that stake.

Also automated trading is not for some who cant program or doesn't know the nitty gritty of the programming language or API involved.

Also you'd have to think of brokers who actually allow automated trading. And they aint cheap.
