    Hey all,

my jobseeker application was finally accepted recently. However my payment day was today and I was unable to make it the post office. It says on the back of my letter that if I miss this date, the payment will be sent back to the department and there will be a delay in re-issuing it to you. Does anyone know what this entails? Will the payment be available on my next sign-on date? Quite annoyed about this as there was nothing I could do and I was owed a significant amount of money. I'm really hoping I'm not going to have to wait another month or so to receive my payments. I'll ring the office first thing tomorrow but I was hoping someone had experience of this or might be able to shed some light on the process.

    Thanks in advance.

It will still be there. Payments are kept for three days before being sent back.

It will still be there tomorrow. You can usually pick up payments until Saturday. My payment used to be on a Wednesday and it stayed there til Monday.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
