Define good. The OP is just a one liner lazy question.

Depends on what you are capable of.

If you just play xbox games and think the course is about learning Microsoft Office, best get a slap in the face for a reality check.

Have some decent understanding of maths. Got a B1 in pass maths and I got through the maths modules ok-ish with little effort through in, with some study you should be fine.

Course is one of the toughest apparently but depends on your skills and determination.

If you work hard at it and enjoy IT somewhat, you should be rewarded later on career wise.

Check out the DCU website on the course information, youtube videos, course material etc etc

Starting 3rd year on Monday. First year is pretty easy but second year takes a lot of work.

Like said before maths is a big part and also java but not fear they start you off as if you know nothing... Plenty of help and resources there.

Advice for starting would be get to know Java and you'll fly through it. The New Boston website is pretty savage for beginning tutorials..

I failed Maths 13 years ago in my leaving and sailed through..

TheSean, this forum is not the place for airing your grievances about particular lecturers.
