My daughter is in her final year at school, she is unsure what to do in college. I am looking for somewhere where she may be able to do an aptitude test and get advice as to which areas she would be best suited for. Does anyone know of such a place in Dublin?

I remember having an option to do an aptitude test or had to do it in 5th year if not was in 6th year.

Sometimes the career guidance do offer these things but maybe look up job or career coaches that have them. Lots of different types of these tests online but a professional job coach or recruitment agencies might have a general set suited to leaving cert students.

There are books on aptitude/psychometric tests.

    Hi

It may be worthwhile checking with the Institute of Guidance Counsellors http://www.igc.ie/ for qualified guidance counsellors who do private work. Anybody conducting aptitude and / or psychometric tests should have the relevant qualifications to do so. Also there are very good career sites that have on-line tests - www.careersportal.ie, and www.gradireland.ie.

Alternatively you can purchase something like this here on amazon and save some money.

You can also do some personality tests on line that are comprehensive such as this one here.

    Best of luck.
