Taking a chance on Ballygill Gale in the 6.55 at Galway each way at 14/1. Won this race off a 1lb lower mark last year under today's claimer, just holding on from a stable mate who has done nothing since, finishing five lengths clear of a duel subsequent winner (including a 25k handicap at the Galway festival) and fifteen lengths ahead of the remainder.

Hasn't done a lot this year, but he caught the eye at Kilbeggan back in May off 105, travelling well but didn't see out the extended three miles on soft ground, and again ran much better than the result suggests last time at Kilbeggan, picking it up three out before making a couple of mistakes. Even though he has won over 3 before I don't think he really gets a strong run three miles, and off a mark of 101 tonight back to 2 and 3/4 miles he could run a better race for a local owner.

I see comehomequeitly is racing again 33-1 at Worchester 4.10. Ran well when tipped last time out at ffoslas until he hit the 4th last and that was the end of that. On a workable mark if he can find his way back to the form he was in last year and translate that to hurdles. it would be no surprise to me to if this course winner went all out to land the spoils here..Last shadow could be a really good prospect but you never know what you get with a McManus/o Neil/McCoy combo..if oddschecker is on blue for mccoys mount then there would be no argument.
Ew at 33-1 for comehomequeitly is a bargain however

    4.00 Redcar

    On My Own 8/1

Having finally gotten everything to click when scoring on his last start, I think there looks a lot more to come from John Hills On My Own. After 3 decent runs in Maiden company (2 for Marcus Tregonning as a 2 year old), On My Own made an eye catching handicap debut over 1m when blowing the turn at Lingfield on the AW before running on again to finish not too far behind in 4th. On My Own's 2nd start in handicap company saw him pull too hard when upped to 10f at Newmarket (still didn't run too badly) and you can put a line through the run. Dropped 2lb to a mark of 70 for those runs, On My Own shed his maiden tag in really good style on 6th career start when powering clear to score by over 3L at Newmarket back over a mile back in July. On the pace throughout the contest, On My Own travelled strongly and forged clear under strong pressure to score what was an emphatic victory. The runner up has advertised the form really well having scored subsequently off the same mark and finishing a good 3rd off a 7lb higher mark and the 8lb rise for John Hills's 4 year old colt looks manageable. Described by his trainer as in great form today on his website, On My Own has been waiting for a race with give underfoot since that victory and the trainer's patience has paid off as he should relish the cut today. This definitely looks a more tricky contest but this unexposed 4 year old son of Rock Of Gibraltar looks to be heading the right way and I think he's got a lot of improvement left in him. With an ambitious Cambridgeshire entry to his name, On My Own is clearly well thought of at home and I think he's got an outstanding chance of landing this contest on what is the trainer's only runner of the day and a rare runner at Redcar.

Seb Sanders is such a **** jockey. I actually cant back him.

Double for Jason Hart, really like him.

That was odd. On My Own looked like he was going to play a big part in the race and all of a sudden looked legless out the back.

Jesus couldn't have gotten that home! Very weird how it finished. Will keep an eye on John Hills' site to see if anything was wrong.

Was going to back Faustina Pius here at 14s, form behind Shadow Eile in a handicap off much higher but she's too inconsistent

ground seems a bit too fast, so unless there's alot of money for it I'd steer clear.
I'd say they're more likely to go for the likes of the 2m handicap chase on day 1 of the November meeting @ Chelters.
