Have to travel on a ryanair flight to UK next week - has anyone had any issues with vaping equipment as hand luggage on a ryanair flight recently -

    Thanks

No problems at all, juice goes in the liquids bag in bottles smaller than 100ml, the ecig goes through on the tray with your loose change.

No vaping on the plane but thats about it.

Went through about 3 weeks ago to scotland and the only issues anyone was having was the size of their carry on luggage.

Do they not allow you to vape on the plane? Last time I was on a Ryanair flight they were trying to sell cigalikes.

Is it a case of "vape something you buy from us or nothing?"

I hope not. The smell from those things is nauseating.

The cigalikes they have dont produce vapour or smoke or anything really, i'm of the belief they are placebos as an aul wan on a flight once bought a box and i asked for 1 and it did nothing.

I believe they would be concerned that other passengers would get afraid of smoke issuing from someone and possible drunks would light up themselves.

Like DirtyBollox says, there's no issue taking it through customs or getting it onto the plane.
I've found that they will only object to you vaping your own stuff on a Ryanair flight if you're blowing clouds of vapour around. I tend to get a window seat and just vape discretely, holding the vapour in for a little longer that usual and exhaling it slowly so it's not noticeable.
The longest flight I've done with them is about four and a half hours and I've had no problems at all with vaping all the way there and back, although we have "had words" over the size of my cabin bag.

Yeah,i flew Ryanair last month to Spain and stealth vaped.Used a fruit flavoured liquid because my tobacco liquid smells a bit and didn't go waving my device around in front of the cabin crew.Noticed a few openly vaping on it and didn't seem to bother the stewardess.

Last time I flew Ryanair... oh boy

So firstly as usual because there's no assigned seating some fecker decides to stand up and queue. This brings a dominos effect of people queuing because they want to make sure they sit together. Even though the plane seats 189 people you've got these feckers who insist on jumping into a queue that's less than 50 long because they're afraid. So eventually the queue gets so long and you need to get up and go and stand in it too, even though the plane isn't scheduled to board for another half an hour.

However what was even worse is that the plane was delayed for 30+ minutes. The flight attendants at the gate told the people the plane won't be boarding for another hour,it's not even on the tarmac yet like... I was watching and they shrugged and stood there anyway. I felt like making sheep bah noises and giving them the fingers and calling them muppets while I sat their trying to relax until the last minute, which was a lot short since the queue was growing ever longer by the minute.

Anyways due to all this I was standing with the rest of the muppets towards the back of the queue for an hour. Actually my gf and I were talking turn standing in our place and going for coffee and toilet breaks.

Next a flight attendant comes and tells me I have to cram my bag of stuff I bought at the airport (food for the flight and some gifts for my family) into my tiny back pack. A bag that's well under the 10kg weight limit and size. I thought there was no way I was going to get it in and probably I'm going to have to leave it behind. I understand why and all but I've never been asked to put something I clearly bought in the airport into my bag. 5 minutes of squashing stuff I Got the zipper closed.

Next we're getting on the plane and the airhost starts giving out about a bag in the over head locker she has to move. She's asking everyone in the immediate vacinity whos' bag is this? No one is replying. She starts asking again and again, each time louder and with more irritation. Finally she says loudly she's going to have to destroy the bag if no one claims it as it's a danger or something. Problem is the people in the front half of the plane can't hear her and obviously someone further up must own the bag. Finally someone way up infront turns around and sees the comotion and says yea thats' my bag. The airhost moves the bag. Then I hear her say right in ear shot of about 20 passengers 'see if you scare them then they listen to you' with a laugh and a sneer.

    I'm sorry but **** Ryanair

If I ever see another flight again where Ryanair are cheaper I'm going to go with the other airline. I think I saved about €50 on my last flight but it wasn't worth the ****ing hassle aye.
