"Different" Projector Questions

    Looking to get some advice on non-3D projectors if anyone has any. My only other option is simply seeing which are top sellers on Amazon. We’re looking to replace a very old model being used in work. It’ll mainly be for meetings/demo and used to display Excel / Powerpoint / Web Applications. For that reason I’m guessing 3D isn’t a requirement. From that point of view I guess I’m looking for a lower spec projector, but at the same time there are other features I’m wondering about.

    1) Can you get projects to link to laptop via WiFi and avoid all the cables?
    2) Is HDMI a given as the input these days?
    3) Are there options for DLNA (or whatever that tech is called) from your smart phone if you have Windows Mobile?
    4) Do any projectors let you simply insert a USB stick and have processor of some sort built into them, or would it only be for basic functions?
    5) Is there any minimum Lumens I should be targeting? One of the rooms here in the office gets fairly bright during the day.

    Sorry, I know there must be lots of “which one should I buy” threads on here, but from the first few I looked at they seem to focus on home entertainment which would be more focused (I’m guessing) on video / 3D quality etc.

    Any specific models anyone would recommend? GUessing budget might be around € 1,000 but not sure.
