    Hi lads

fairly new to golf and onlyy starting to get my bearings/knowing the lingo after a couple of months
loving the sport that i once despised

but now that im 'getting into the swing of it' :D
Im just wondering if theres anyway to get a g.u.i card/handicap without paying, IMO, rediculous charges for the local club membership?

You can only get a gui card by being a member of a club.
They are plenty of clubs offering distance membership fairly cheaply. A quick search of here or Google will show you options.
