Yeah they're a perfectly respectable and well known brand. One of my favourites for components.

Are they a specialized frame with different name on it? Could be wrong but I recall hearing that once.

Is €1000 to much for a kellys with Tiagra groupset?

I think that you may be thinking of Merida ( who basically own Specialized)

depends on the rest of the spec.
    Sounds a bit steep though.

It's about the going rate for an ARC 3.0 from a LBS. Paying that you should expect good after-sales service and maybe a couple of bits thrown in (bottle cages, pedals...). You might get one a bit cheaper but you'll have to go hunting and will probably sacrifice the 'local' bit. My son has one and its a nice bike to ride, at least as good as the Cube with same groupset.

This one. As bob said, ARC 3

    Anything bad spec on that???

    So you'd recommend, good.

It's gonna (probably) be my first road bike. Unless I can find something better.

Well that's 949, Aluminium frame as well but has 105 gears (one step up from Tiagra) and better wheels. Quite a bit better value if you're willing to buy online. Canyon are also a very popular and reputable brand.

I have one and I absolutely love it, have it 7 years now and have clocked up thousands of ks, have never had an issue with it or any of the components, although its a Shimano groupset. Couldnt recommend it highly enough.

I bought mine in Staggs in Lucan, was happy enough with them too, I remember going back five or six times until I was happy with the set-up

If your getting through a bike to work scheme and limited to certain shops then its a great deal but if its your own purchase then I'd go for the online option of something like the Canyon linked as the spec is much better.

I don't know why I'd ruled out getting a bike online but you've definitely changed my mind.

    Thanks a Mil.

And thanks all for your input!
