"User profile cannot be loaded"

When I try to log in to my laptop I'm getting a message saying "The user profile service failed the logon. The user profile cannot be loaded." Anyone have any ideas about this how to fix this? It's an Acer laptop with Windows 7. I have it about 3 years and haven't had any problems with it until now.

Happened to my brothers laptop a few weeks back. You should be able to log on by Safe Mode, and then to fix it... http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947215
