Still no learner permit!

    So went into naas tax office 16 august and applied for my learner permit. Nearly 3.5 weeks latet and no sign. So rang tax office and are currently processing applications applied for on date august 1st! How ridiclous.. god only knows how ling more will be waiting

    Any good instructor will take the receipt from the Tax Office as proof. They only need it in case the Gardaí pull them over during the lesson.

    Have litterally tried every where for an instructor to take Me on and not 1 will untill receive the permit. Receipt just isn't valid.. thanks or reply

    Just on a side note, as there's no point creating a new thread, but what exactly did you bring into the office when you applied? And did you have to pay the fee there and then? :)

    All documents that requested I brang in. Theory test cert. Eye test cert. Photos. Id biethcert and complered form. Paid the fee there and then and got receipt back.and bobs ur uncle. Waiting game now: )

    I asked my instructor about this when I was waiting on my licence and he said he couldn't take me without my actual licence for insurance reasons.

    There was a 5-6 week turn around time in June. The person at the desk told me how long the wait would be when I handed my application into Naas.
