Interested in Getting Straight Razor

I have been thinking of giving the cut throat a go. I was wondering where would I get a full setup including razor, brush, etc?

I'd ideally want an razor that you sharpen rather than having to get the clip in blades.

Any starters tips and advice?

Decide if you want a new or used (restored) razor, and your price range.

For almost all new razors it will need to be honed before use.

A used restored razor may arrive shave ready; you would need to check credentials of anyone posting a razor as 'shave ready' on ebay.

You can get a very cheap, possibly a bit cosmetically rough but shave ready razor here.

Anything you buy has good residual value so don't worry if you don't get on with it, you can always sell it.

Best starting size is a 5/8th with a rounded tip. But a 3-4/8th will be cheaper and just as good. Bigger razors tend to be pricier.
