Hi folks,

Looking to purchase a new laptop for Xmas any advice. Not looking for a super computer but would like something that runs smoothly. Last time I bought a laptop was 2007 so not up to date on latest processors etc so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Budget: between 400-600

Intended use: internet, e-mail, Word processing, games, just general daily use

Mobility: not important will be staying at home majority of time

What Operating System do you use? Have used windows os most of my life but no issue changing.
