Hi guys im considering buying a 05 citreon dispatch van. I spoke to the guy on the phone yesterday. He thinks it will only need two new tyres to pass doe...however he also said that one of the sliding doors cant be opened from the outside and occasionally when sitting in traffic the van will pop out of firsf gear. ..can anybodg shed any lighf on these issues? Last thing I need to be doing is buying a lemon..tia

I'd keep looking. First gear popping out could be something small or something big.
Unless you get a mech (which you have to pay for) to go over and diagnose and estimate cost for each item the car could indeed be a lemon.

Sounds to me like it's had a hard life. At least the seller was honest with you but personally, I'd still look elsewhere.

Sounds like a broken link in the door and a dodgy gear linkage to me
