This may be a silly question, but are the printing services in DIT strictly for educational stuff i.e. no personal printing?

They're familiar with students and probably expect you to use the printers for personal documents. Whatever you're printing, you'll have to pay for each page.

Unless your printing reams of stuff, no one will take any notice.

A few pages here and there is no bother, as you are paying for it anyway. However if you are printing off 30 CVs during a busy period you might annoy someone in the queue!

You can use the printers for your own stuff alright, paying for each page anyway, so there isn't an issue.
