Folks, Submission time for the 2014 Race season Race slots, is nearly upon the secretaries of each Club for 2014.

In October of each year, the secretaries are requested to submit the proposed 2014 race slots.

Trying to persuade Cycling Ireland, to maintain three by two days in August / September.

Starting with the Suir Valley at the end of July / August, followed by the Wexford 2 day in Mid august, followed by Charleville in end of August / start september.

This approach prolongs the A1/A2/A3/A4 season until the start of September.

National Championships should slot around and accommodate these three major two days, maintaining sufficient recovery time in between events. Nat championships fixtures can force two day events away from August.

My proposal is to have CI maintain the three two days , in series, as you had in 2013.

Your opinions please. Be assured, Cycling Ireland does read boards.

I dont see the issue Michael?Charleville doesn't accomodate A1s.Theres plenty of space available for your stage race in Wexford. You may have to move back a week next year as the A3 champs are fixed [in stone by Cycling Ireland] for weekend of Aug 16/17 next year.As per Cycling Ireland rules you will not have A3s in your race next year as another A3 event will not be allowed on he same day as champs. There were certain reasons that you were able to get away with it this year.So my suggestion is simply move back a week[there was nothing on that w/end this yr in Leinster so it wont be an issue at all]PS I think CI do read boards fyi.
