    My old DELL vostro Desktop has held me in good stead these past few years but I think it's about time I probably upgraded to something with a little more power, so I'm in the market for a good value Video Editing PC preferably.

    1. What is your budget? [€600/€700]

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Video editing/3D Modelling/HTPC/Internet]

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [No]

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? [Yes] Sata hard drives, ati radeon hdmi graphics card

    5. Do you need a monitor? [No]

    5a. If yes, what size do you need. [No]

    5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? [1920x1080]

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [Keyboard/Mouse/Wireless Card/Card Reader/Speakers/etc.] [No]

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [No]

    8. How can you pay? [Credit Card/Laser or paypal]

    9. When are you purchasing? [In next month or so]

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? [Meath]

    I've picked a few bits and pieces from some of the other threads and thrown them together.

    What do we think. I already have a fairly entry level radeon gpu which I got to hook up to my hdmi monitor, that I was going to use with this build.
    Although, if I will need something a little better for video editing, I'm certainly open to suggestions for a suitable replacement.
    I'm open to suggestions regarding the whole build of course.
    I'm not sold on any of these parts, save for the blu ray burner and maybe the xeon processor.
