Managed to miss RTE showing season 2 then, looks like I could be doing the same.

The Swede is one of the greatest characters ever: 'My heart was not ripped out, but she did steal my cuckoo clock.'

I don't think Season 2 has been on rte yet, I'm watching it on Netflix US

Series 1 was in September 2012, they've hardly shown season 2 over the summer. I see Somebody on the internet said season 2 started in May but it didn't.

Was it not shown on a Sunday on RTE2 at about 11pm with the last episode been on Sunday 4th August 2013.

To be fair, it's minority viewing compared to other US dramas that RTE show.

RTE could show it in a far later timeslot.

Then its a waste of license fee money.why buy it from amc just to throw it on at 11 on Sunday night and not even advertise it??? And then they cancel the premiership!!! I've strayed into different territory there but its a good point.

11pm is not a bad timeslot for RTE. TG4 show Breaking Bad at that time.

Subscribe to the Irish Premiere Dates thread and you won't miss any of your favourite programmes in future. :p

Brilliant character. I think the preacher could go unnoticed to some viewers, but he's very interesting and played excellently by Noonan. His expressions are sublime, and when he looks from under his eyebrows he displays the turmoil going on inside his head.

But The Swede is obviously the most interesting character as soon as he appears. I thought he had a Nazi persona about him.

There's a great soundtrack in some episodes. One example is the scene where Durant and Bohannon are travelling back on the train and Durant has a gun to Bohannon's head.

Season 3 of Hell on Wheels is on RTE 2 late night Tuesdays (not sure if Season 3 had previously been shown on RTE so could be a repeat so apologies)

Anyone knows if this will continue on RTE or anywhere else? Have seen the first four seasons and really liked them. Unfortunately only on Netflix US.
