ACA - CTC (tax) exams

Just wondering how much work is involved in the ACA tax course? Rough amount of time required for the assignments/study for exams? Also, how strict are they about attending 60% of lectures to sit the exams? Or is it more like the guidelines for ACA exams where it doesn't really matter? Thanks.
