JSA and the tax man

    Hi all,
College grad here who's been on jsa for a short while now.

I may have found a new part time job and if so will be signing up for x's and o's, however I suspect the potential employer will want to pay me cash under the table and keep me off the books. I get the feeling that if I insist everything is legit and I am 'on the books' i.e. paying tax that the employer will look for someone else.

They will not have any issue with the jsa paperwork etc. but I am wondering something.

Seeing as I will be declaring to the Dept. of Social Protection that I am working 1/2 days a week, will this information be passed on to revenue, who might then come after me/the employer for tax evasion?

    Thanks
