    We're planning on shortly implementing a change for this forum which will see it move to being more focused on the range of tabletop games and hobbies.

    This will involve the renaming of the forum from its existing title to 'Tabletop Gaming'. In addition we're going to see in inclusion of sub forums for role playing, miniature gaming and trading card games.

    The proposed structure is as follows:

    Tabletop Gaming
    • Roleplaying {PnP}
    • Minature Gaming
    • Tradable Card Gaming

    I think it's a great move personally, there's a lot of cross interest between the various game types and this move should bring a greater audience to them all.

    I'm a bit worried the boardgaming will be buried under the other content but sure we'll see how it goes.

    I thought boardgames would be the main discussion forum and then those other ones are the subforums from it.

    I think you're right and I misread the OP.

    I'm probably confused, will boardgames forum be separate from toys.

    I don't think there will be a toys at all. The main forum will be for tabletop gaming aka boardgames, card games and the like. Then sub forums will spawn from that, roleplaying etc.

    Tar is correct, the forum as it is now will remain unchanged, all the board game discussion will still happen where it's happening now. The subforums are being created & moved from elsewhere in the category, to group together the common grounds on which some of the games are based.

    So:
    Tabletop Gaming {Main Forum}
    ---> Roleplaying {PnP}
    ---> Minature Gaming
    ---> Tradable Card Gaming

    This forum, will become the parent forum to three subforums. Discussion as it happens here now, will remain as it is, totally unchanged. There will be less/no emphasis on toys anymore, because it's not really something that ever gets discussed here anyway. It'll be all boardgame chat. However, there'll be three subforums added, one for pen & paper roleplaying games, miniature gaming will move from it's existing position to here as a subforum, as will tradable card games.

    It encompasses all the non video game, & related subjects from being spread out all across the games category, into one, single, more focused forum & subforum structure.
