Trying to improve insulation in my house lifed the floor and discovered no insulation and massive gaps around all the built in joist ends (built 2006)

Part L and the acceptable construction detail say a 'flexible sealant' should be used, with the size of the gaps and awkward locations I can't imagine retrofitting anything other than something like everbuild firefoam. I see there is a flexibl acoustic foam now too from geocel. Or should i try to stuff the gaps with fire rated rockwool. I'm pretty sure I read years ago that expanding foam was not to be used for this application was that for fire reasons?
