One month in......

I bought an eGo Ce 4 (I think) at a VIP booth in a shopping centre a month ago, and some USA fluid, been off the cigs since.....:)

I know I paid through the nose for the eGo but it has got rid of my smokers cough and I feel a whole lot better for not inhaling what had begun to taste like car exhaust.

I have read a ton about vaping, on here and elsewhere and now want to see where I will go with it now....apart from the first two weeks vaping.....where I think I got nicotene sickness from too much as well as withdrawal from the cocktail of chemicals that come with cigarettes, I have now settled into a 2 mil a day vaper, mostly at night after work.

There is a plethora of instruments on the market out there which is confusing to the novice (understatement) I have discovered that clearomisers do not last that long before developing a burnt taste, washing helps a bit....is it tobacco flavours that messes them up?

Should I go for a VV VW like iTaste or something else? My much better half has decided to take the eGo off my hands and give it a go.....think I need rebuildable clearomisers!!!

I do need advice here and from reading these forums I know there are some seriously experienced vapers on here :) No apologies for long post as I am a long person.........:D

I have used VIPs when I started vaping last year and they are expensive (still cheaper than smoking though). VIP CE4s are disposable. When you finish you throw them out. You can get others around 4-5$ with replacable wicks around 2€ which will be cheaper in the long run. You can get Ego batteries also around 10€. VIP USA mix is Hangsen and they are expensive. You can get 100ml hangsen Usa mix from Bargainvapour for around 14€. This will make your vaping much cheaper. Also have spares of everything and spares of spares :D

Sweet flavours, dark flavours and natural flavours. And heat.

If you want the battery life. An ego Twist would be grand too, depends on your wants/needs and whether you want to make A purchase or THE purchase.

Thanks Halkar, did not know that the VIP was Hangsen, interested in trying other mixes and yes it seems way better to buy rebuildables, and lots of spares :) though the chances of returning to cigarettes are zero from the few times my batt has died and I have been forced to smoke them, they just don't do it anymore!

Thanks Grindle, will keep an eye on the flavours, and yes am wondering if it is a purchase or THE purchase, fine dividing line between addiction and hobby here....the paraphernalia sorrounding vaping is similar to the early days of cigarettes and hard not to get caught up in it tbh.....some of the Mods are beautiful. :)

Really? Do you have a source for that information?
Would just like to double check before I order a few litres....

    :)

There are marks under the bottle (I think HS) and around the neck of the bottle. I have tried many others to match their Ry4 Xsmooth juice and the only one closest is Ry1 from Hangsen from bargainvapour. You can get smaller samples to try before committing yourself to 100ml bottles. VIP is expensive from UK with their shipping.

I took the plunge and ordered 100ml of Hangseng USA Mix 24mg from bargainvapour yesterday, and it arrived today.

I was surprised that the bottle didn't contain any apparent Hangseng branding, or mention of their name. I broke the seal, and immediately got that lovely nutty aroma that I get from the VIP USA liquid.

I loaded up a new Smoktech EGO Mega Dual Coil cart, filled it and took a deep vape, and......

    ....it's not the same..... :-(

Which is disappointing. But it isn't a bad vape at all. I'd describe it as slightly darker in flavour, very like the VIP Virginia.

So, not unhappy with the purchase. I can see it growing on me. It will be interesting to see how it develops after a week or so of steeping.

I bought one of those 100ml containers once but I didn't like the fact that it just had a foil cap seal and a big cap. Doubt its leakproof and hence kinda dangerous I think, 100ml of say 18mg = 180mg nic. 40-60mg may be lethal to an adult, never mind a child, if it all spilled on you, unlikely as it may be.

Just my own personal thoughts on those containers. I ended up dumping most of it cos I just didn't trust it. I suppose it'd be fine if you had it stored safely on a bench or something but I just didn't like the way its contained.

I must say that this forum is great for a noobie like myself, there is a whole lot of terminology to learn and I have spent ages reading threads to educate myself about vaping and it has been well worthwhile. There are also some really great posters on here who really know their stuff and are prepared to listen and answer questions put to them by mere mortals :)
