Personal Alarm

Thinking about outdoor use when walking around especially at night.

There seem to be two types available, one is a pull cord and the other is cordless, you just press both sides of it to set it off.

Are they all throw away items or do some have replacement battery option.

    Any opinions/advice appreciated.

Is this for just around outside the house or generally out & about?
There are battery operated personal alarms that just make noise.
There are also GSM units like the G4S PAL unit that us mobile networks & GPS to send a panic alarm to the central station from anywhere.

When down the town in case of being attacked or mugged, just simple panic button thing that sends out piercing noise.
