The Irish Times are worse - terrible for any breaking news.

I remember then the Spanish riots were happening. Every news channel on planet bar RTE. That was the last time I watched our state run media.

I remember the day that Michael Jackson was pronounced dead - which was around 6-7pm Irish time - the Irish Independent's website wasn't updated until the next morning. I guess everybody had clocked off for the night :D

I remember that RTE News didn't cover that story until hours after he had passed at around Midnight.

    Unbelievable.
