I found this dress (see attached pic) in TKMaxx and without trying it on thought it would be a great day dress for work.

Got home, tried it on and realised I'd never under pain of death wear something like this to work.

Given that I bought it as a potential day dress, I'm in a negative mood about it, too short, too much cleavage, etc.

however, the OH loves it and thinks I should keep it as a going out/date dress.

Thing is, I'm late thirties and wondering if it still suits? That's me wearing it in the pic.

    Thoughts?

I think it looks great on you. Being in your 30s does not make you old, and you should only worry about whether something suits you or not.

Your legs and boobs look fab in that dress!

looks great on you, I think it would look just as good for autumn/winter with thick tights and flat boots with a biker jacket and big scarf or cowl, very adaptable dress imo

Thanks for all the feedback everyone!

Do you know Dee, I didn't even think of that approach, I recently again in TKMaxx got the most gorgeous leather biker jacket, and everytime I've work it it gets commented on. It's a very rich brown as well and would set off this dress beautifully

I've the boots, and the thick tights as well!

I think I got sidetracked that it would be a work dress, I work in a very male dominated environment, and legs and boobs are not an impression I want to display, but given the feedback from you guys, I think I'll keep it and dress it differently :) Thick tights would really make it into a less going out and more into a day dress, I tend to be very conservative in how I dress it work, there might be an above the knee dress but well covered on top, or vice versa, so this fits.

Thanks :) Must consider posting here more when I've a dilemna about clothing

It also suits my colouring hair/eyes wise :)

Your body looks fantastic in that dress. Keep it, and wear it! Possibly not to work though, you don't wanna have the men drooling. :pac:

Have to agree with the above. It looks great and the advice on what to wear it with is spot on. I love it actually. :D
