Is your new course a level 7 or level 8?

    Level 8 :)

Hmm. I would have though you would have been eligible for free fees but a quick search on boards suggests you may be in trouble as you didn't complete the level 7.

If you did one year of a level 7,you prob have to pay the 1st year of your level 8 degree, and then in 2nd year you will go back onto the free fees scheme again. If you had to leave for medical reasons, worth a go,you never know.go gp and get letter and send it into the education dept/college

It's to stop people starting and stopping courses which costs the tax payer and takes places which would otherwise went to other students. It's a very fair system

Il tell them my reason. I can probably get a letter from doctor and hospital. Had a still birth which threw me off completely and my life - change of career and all.
Yes I understand completely it is fair I will try and see.
Thanks for your replies much appreciated.
