PUG 406 Airbag light

I have a 406, 2002 2.0L and is an NCT failure naturally because of the airbag light on.

I had a diagnostic done on it today and what I got from it was 'Driver Airbag Level 2 Open Circuit/Short Circuit to ground'

There are common faults with this car, such as bad connections under the seats for the pre-tensioners and airbags. I've re-soldered all these joints and removed the plastic plugs to narrow the field but I still have the fault all the same.

Anyone have any experience with this or where I should be looking?

    Thanks

Looks like you need a new coms unit (indicator stalk).
Common enough problem on Peugeots...if you pm me your vin number i'll post up the correct part number for this unit.

Is the fault pointing to a problem with the slip ring in the comm 2000? Changed that over a year ago cos of the indicator. Replacement is t cheap.

Maybe check the connections on the coms unit.
if it was a s/h coms unit you fitted then it may have also failed...
