Does anyone have a rough idea how much it would cost to replace an Audi a4 engine getting parts from a breakers yard and paying a mechanics labour?

Fella breaking one on donedeal for 400..how much would labour be? Could you trust getting it off somebody on donedeal or would you be much better off from a scrapyard?

what is mileage on it and service history? the cheaper the labour is the more of a chance you can take with the engine, if you are that way inclined...

Basically the more the labour is costing the longer you need the replacement engine to last to make it worthwhile / cost effective.
