I pre-registered for the Sony and really wanted the lens based on the offer on their . website. It specifically said, be one of the first. The moment the offer was available, I purchased the phone so I am definitely one of the very first people to get the offer but yet I still do not have the lens. I contacted Three on this and was told that they don't know anything. Very frustrating! They then said that it was unknown if I had secured a lens and that the only way I will know, is if I receive the lens and that should happen within 45 days if I have secured one. The T's & C's clearly state that 30 days should be allowed, not 45. I'm now 35 days in so there's 9 days left of the revised 45 day wait which in my mind, is cutting it fine given there's a bank holiday weekend to reduce my chances.

I'm feel like I've been hoodwinked into this purchase now and that this is definitely false advertising. I've contacted Sony directly, as per the T's and C's and have yet to hear back. I'm just annoyed that the page states "we have some of the new CyberShot lens to giveaway with each Sony Xperiz Z1 sold" when Three tell me they NEVER had the lens at all and that it is an agreement with me and Sony themselves. That is false advertisement.

The T's and C's state that the phone must be purchased by 30th September. I purchased mine on 20th September when it became available. I pre-registered before the required date of 18th September so I still qualified.

The camera on the phone itself is very disappointing so now more than ever, I would really like to have the lens as it is the camera that sold the phone to me. I'm hoping it is just a software issue that can be rectified with a software update but I know the lens has helped based on reviews I have read.

Overall, I am annoyed by the whole thing and hope that the lens comes through. Has anyone who pre-registered and met the T's and C's received the lens??

I'm still don't received these msg up from three reps I was order mine first day when was available and don't get it, even headset and screen protector did not been in phone box they told 21 day still.waiting...poor service

I got similarly screwed by three when the htc one came out, they had an offer, preorder and get the HTC media link tv adaptor free. i preordered the phone and paid for it within minutes when i got the email that the phone was onsale.

I got an email from Sony to say they were contacted by Three and are sending me the lens. Quite coincidental considering my post here yesterday but it seems I will have the lens soon.

As for the camera, it's supposed to be one of the best on the market but then you need to play with it. Images look fine on the great screen on the phone itself but as soon as I look at them on a computer or on my other devices, is where I am disappointed. Lacking detail, lots of noise and washed out lacking that vibrancy of colour you see on the phone. I'm not alone in this. Look at good, reliable reviews online and you'll see this. So far, the general consensus is that it was rushed out and that it is only software that's holding it back and that a good software update will improve the camera a great deal.- here's hoping! Don't get me wrong, the camera is good but it's not the spectacular camera that was promised or that I was hoping for. For now, I have continued to take photos on my SGS3 as they are just better. Yes the Sony has a 20MP camera but that clearly doesn't mean everything.

The Lumia 1020. The Z1 is constantly compared to it. That's a bloody good camera!

pre-registered my interest on CPW and bought the phone the day it came out, i think it was 23rd Sept the day i bought it. And then got my free lens unexpectedly last wednesday got bored after an hour playing with it though! lol

Good to know someone got it DylanK. Funny that you got bored with it. It's worth a lot. Perhaps you should sell it. At least then you could make a few bob out of it. I certainly won't be selling mine though and really look forward to getting it.

nah i will just keep it. pretty handy/small for traveling compare to those bulky bridge camera when all major airlines only allow one small carry on bag onboard! :P

Yeah that's true but it's still the best smartphone camera on the market. 3mp in the difference doesn't make that any less true.
